Reflected onto the mind, the representation of an object recalls the deepest human sentiment and attachments. Lacking clarity, missing details cause memories to bring the reproduction to life. Enveloping these things with thoughts of fears and desires, they are granted supernormal powers over people. How can the real be seen through this delusion? Attachments that cloud the mind must be discovered and removed to see clearly. Latent images of jealousy, anger, suspicion, lust and all the others must be eliminated. To gain, there must be loss. Giving up the attachment by transferring the object to our social network, we track each object's path and share our experiences, gain understandings, and finally elevate ourselves. The original object and its shadows, the photograph and the memory of it, provides evidence that mind and matter are one and the same. Chris Kitze |
